The popularity of the Series 1 E-Types is still increasing. The anniversary of 50 years E-Type in 2011 had quite an important effect on E-Type values, and it seems that there is still a growing demand for these lovely sixties icons. For that reason, it becomes increasingly difficult to find nice examples for decent money. When we came across this beautiful car, we felt very lucky, as a 4,2 Litre Series 1 is a very desirable car. In this classic colour combination of Opalescent Silver Blue with Dark Blue hide and black softtop, it is still in its correct colours as it left the Browns Lane factory in 1966.

This E-Type was delivered new in Germany by the famous german Jaguar importer Peter Lindner. There lies probably the reason for the big advantage of this particular E-Type : an end reduction of 2.77 ! This means that motorway trips are still very comfortable at higher speeds, due to the lower revs the engine has to make. The engine pulls very strong, and the sound is fantastic because of the smaller silencers in the exhaust. This car is in perfect condition, with still its original and beautifully patinated interior in place.

If you are interested in this very nice Jaguar, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us, as all the previous Series 1 E-Types roadsters we had in stock were sold withing a couple of days... This one is again a fantastic opportunity to get your hands on a great example of this very sought after classic sportscar.
