The Jaguar 2,4 Saloon (later called the Mk1) was the first compact Jaguar Sports Saloon built with unitary construction. These cars were not only a success on the private market, but also used in motorsport for the popular saloon car races by famous racing drivers as Mike Hawthorne.

This particular example is supplied new in Sweden in December 1957, and had 9 owners since. The car is still in its original colour combination of Indigo Blue with Grey interiior. It is a full matching nrs car, and comes with a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate as a proof. The interior is still original and beautifully patinated.

This Mk1 was restored in 1985, and has done only 22.000 km since then. This restoration is documented with a lot of invoices and notes. Our car is a SE-version, with was the top specification model with optional equipment like a heater, electrical overdrive and a clock as standard.

The Mk1 is much rarer then its successor - the Mk2 - and in this configuration of 2,4 Litre LHD only 3741 are ever produced. This is a really fine example of the Mk1, and very difficult to find a similar car in the same condition and specification. Restoring such a car would cost double our asking price !
