This is quite a rare find in this condition : a BSA Bantam D1 with Lucas electrics and plunger rear springing. On top of that, it was delivered new in France and has a kph counter instead of the more common mph one.

We found this lovely motorcycle in France, and as it was in a reasonable original condition we decided to completely restore the bike but retain as much as possible of its originality. The paint had a nice patina which we tried to keep intact. The original and beautifully patinated "Wright" seat is still fitted, but only new springs were installed. The engine is completely overhauled with new internals, carburettor rebuild and restored ignition system. Shock absorbers and brakes are overhauled, and a new clutch and new chains are fitted. All Lucas electrics were renewed and everyting works again as in 1951 when it left the BSA factory. These versions with Lucas generator and electrics are sought after, and this your opportunity to obtain one with a proper patina and ready to go anywhere.

A lovely 125 cc motorcycle in great condition, and an eyecatcher wherever you arrive. This is proper fifties motoring in style.
