The XK120 Fixed Head Coupé is without doubt the most beautiful of all Jaguar XK bodystyles. Sir William Lyons created this wonderful car based on the Open Two Seater, and strongly influenced by the design of the Bugatti Atlantic.

This particular car is build in 1953, and has the C-Type head from new, which gives 190 bhp instead of the normal 160 bhp of the standard engine. After a ground-up restoration in 2002 (documented with photographs), this XK120 is used until now by the previous French owner. We bought the car in December 2010. Once arrived in our workshop, we fitted a new stainless steel exhaust system with double end pipes, replaced the cam covers and air filters. Engine and carburettors are fully overhauled, and brake system checked.

The body had a full respray, due to some visible scratches and stonechips. We fitted new MSW 72-spoke "Competition" wheels in 6x16 with fantastic period-looking Blockleytyres. The car benefits from Period Lucas driving lamps, as fitted on the factory rally cars. The car is just back from a complete service and overhaul by Dutch Jaguar specialist Ben Kolvenbach, and is now also technically in 100% perfect condition.

This wonderful Jaguar is the perfect car to participate in all kinds of historic rallies, and is Mille Miglia Eligible. If you are looking for a proper fifties sportscar with pedigree, then this is the one. A guaranteed investment, as XK's keep their value very well, and a great driving car with the perfect looks !
