This is the first version of the "Big" Healeys. From 1960 on, the 100/6 model became available with a slightly bigger 3,0 litre six cilinder engine, and the name changed to Austin-Healey 3000.

This Mk1 is a rare two seater BN7 model. Most of the 3000 Healeys were build with the 2+2 configuration (BT7) which had two extra childseats in the rear compromising the unspoilt looks of the two seater versions. This example is completely nut-and-bolt restored in 1999-2000, and only driven for approx. 6000 km since.

It is a matching nrs car, with Heritage Certificate to prove. The car is equiped from new with most of the available options : heater, electrical overdrive and front disc brakes. It is finished in the desirable Austin-Healey colour combination of Healey Blue with Ivory. Hood and tonneau cover are finished in the same blue colour as the leather hide of the seats. This car sits on chromed 72-spoke "Competition" wheels, and has a chromed luggage rack. This quintessentially british six cilinder roadster is the ultimate car to enjoy on a sunny day. Either short or long trips will give the same satisfactory driving pleasure.
