The Renault Floride was launched at the 1958 Paris Motor Show. It was originally developed for the American market, and based on the Renault Dauphine. Pietro Frua at Carrozzeria Ghia designed the svelte and stylish body. Three versions were available : a 2+2 Coupé, a 2+2 Cabriolet and the top of the range Convertible with removable hardtop, just like the model we have on offer. The US-destined versions were named Caravelle, while the early European examples were sold as Floride. It was a fashionable car in the early sixties, not the least because Brigitte Bardot owned one.

Our example was delivered new in Italy, and has been there until we purchased it. It is still in fairly original and rustfree condition. Apart from a repaint some years ago, this car is still as it was delivered in 1960 with the original vinyl seats and factory hardtop. It is even still registered on his original 1960 Italian "libretto". We had the Floride just serviced by a classic Renault specialist, and it is 100% ready for use.

If you fancy a stylish and lovely little convertible, then this Floride may be perfect for you. A nice and affordable classic car in a great classic colour combination. A car which can be used in the city or any holiday destination. Paris or St-Tropez, the choice is yours !
