The Triumph TR3 is a sports car which was produced between 1955 and 1962 by Standard-Triumph. The face lifted variant, unofficially known as the "TR3A", entered production in 1957 and had the full width radiator grille and front disc brakes, just like this car which we are offering for sale. The TR3 was a fantastic little sportscar in the fifties. Powered by a 1991 ccm 4-cilinder engine, producing almost 100 bhp, it was a great and fast drivers car. A top speed of almost 170 km/u and an acceleration time of 10 seconds from 0 to 100 km/u were very impressive figures for a small sportscar of that era. It was also a regular sight at racetracks and rallies.

This example is finished in the beautiful colour combination of Pale Yellow, black interior and black painted wire wheels. The car is just completely nut-and-bolt restored, and looks better then new (which it probably is as well). The quality of this restoration is from a very high level, with a beautiful paint and immaculate finish.

A Triumph TR3 is an ideal starter classic car : it combines classic looks with good performance, and it's a great car to participate in both historic racing events or touristic rallies. A testdrive with this wonderful little sportscar is the best way to discover the driving pleasure which a well sorted TR3 can offer.
