One of our customers asked us to sell his beloved Mercedes 190 SL. Not the type of car you would expect in our collection, but because it was such a nice example of this very popular roadster we couldn't refuse. The car has a factory hardtop from new, and was originally delivered to Germany in September 1962, which was almost at the end of production. The condition of the car is still very good, keeping in mind the restoration was done some years ago. Very recently, a completely new engine was fitted, and this is noticeable from the moment you push the starter button. It runs ultra smooth, and pulls as you may expect from a Mercedes four-cylinder engine. Gearbox works well, and so do the recently overhauled brakes. Being a European specification car, it has the extra third-passenger transverse seat in the back, which is a perfect fit for an occasional extra occupant. The interior is slightly patinated, which adds the right atmosphere to the lovely interior, including white steering wheel.

This appreciating classic Mercedes roadster ticks all the right boxes : beautiful colour combination, desirable and rare factory hardtop and also technically in perfect condition. If you fancy a nice 190 SL to enjoy the first sunny days of 2013, then this is a candidate to have a look at. Now visible in our showroom.
