The last and most advanced Big Healey was the Mk3 BJ8. It had the strongest engine, and a new interior lay-out with walnut dashboard panels and a different fascia. Together with the 100/4, it is the most sought after model of the Austin-Healey range.

We bought this particular car from a passionated classic car enthousiast, who drove his car whenever it was possible. For that reason, he kept the car in perfect mechanical condition. The full maintenance of the last 15 years is documented with a lot of invoices, and it really drives superbly. The engine pulls hard and makes the right sound that only a straight six can provide, and gearbox and overdrive work smooth. We have the car just repainted in original Austin-Healey Ice Blue (also called Healey blue), and did fit rally bumpers at the rear. Of course, the original bumpers are still with the car and can be fitted easily. We kept the interior as it was, as it has just the right amount of patina. Only the carpets are renewed. The hood is a recent one finished in blue mohair, and the car comes with a tonneau cover and hood envelope in blue vinyl.

This is a very good looking and well driving Big Healey, ready to go anywhere and a desirable Mk3 BJ8 version. It is the perfect starter classic car, and a fantastic tool to participate in some historic regularity events or just to do some nice open top touring.
