The Jaguar XK150 was without doubt one of the best sportscars from the fifties. Slightly larger then its predecessors XK120 and XK140, it offered more interior space and a better and more comfortable ride. The big 3,4 litre straight six offered plenty of power, and even in todays traffic an XK150 is quite a fast car. It must have been a sensation in the fifties.

I have used this incredibly original example the past year for several rallyes and longer trips. Also the yearly pilgrimage to Goodwood Revival was an unforgettable journey with the XK. It still has most of its original paint, and the interior is still completely original as well. Finding a car in such a preserved condition is very rare, and I was immeditiately charmed by this incredible motorcar. It is of course full matching numbers, and exactly as it left the factory almost sixty years ago (just slightly more patinated now...). On the road this XK is quite a sensation, as it is fast and easy to drive but with unrepeatable straight-out-of-the-barn looks. If you like your classic cars original, then there won't be much better examples available then this one. We kept everything as it was, but spent serious money on making the car more reliable with lots of work done to suspension, brakes and engine. We also fitted brand new "competition" wire wheels (72 spokes) with Avon Turbosteel tyres, which improved the roadholding in a big way. The main thing is that it still feels, smells and drives like an unrestored car - something which will never be achieved with a restored classic car. This XK150 needs to be driven and seen to fully understand its presence and importance.

This car is for the true classic car lover, and I hope it will stay in this unrestored and patinated condition. Original cars are incredibly scarce, and it is important that these rare machines remain preserved. Who is ready to take the plunge, and become the new custodian of this great Jaguar classic ?
